Christmas on Main

Christmas on Main" is Benson, North Carolina's signature holiday kickoff event, transforming Downtown Benson into a festive, Hallmark-movie-like setting.
Hosted annually by the Benson Area Chamber of Commerce, this free, family-friendly celebration takes place along Main Street and typically features:

Tree Lighting Ceremony: The official start of the holiday season held at the Singing Grove.
Holiday Parade: A lively procession down Main Street featuring local businesses, civic organizations, antique tractors, classic cars, and of course, Santa Claus.
Visits with Santa: Children have the opportunity to meet and share their Christmas wishes with Santa.
Live Entertainment: Musical performances, often featuring local or regional acts, are held in the Singing Grove.
Festive Treats: Attendees can enjoy classic holiday fare like s'mores, hot chocolate, and popcorn, often provided by the Fire Department and Parks and Recreation Department.
